Jasonville, located in Greene County, Indiana, is the Gateway
to Shakamak and is home to the Shakamak
Lakers and the Metropolitan School District of Shakamak. Shakamak
State Park is located just 3 miles on the outskirts of town.
Jasonville Indiana is part of the Tri-County Region of Sullivan
County, Greene County, and Clay County. With a population of approximately
2500, the Jasonville community has a small town appeal.
The Jasonville
Indiana area is known for many outdoor recreations like hunting,
camping, fishing, off-roading, and hiking. Campgrounds are located
at Greene-Sullivan Forest and Shakamak State Park. Shakamak State Park
also offers group camping, cabins, and campsite rentals, along with

Wildlife Area, Shakamak State Park, Greene-Sullivan State Forest, Minnehahaw

area offering scenic views and Indiana wildlife. Don't forget to stop
by the Shakamak State Park Nature Center offering free wildlife activities
and nature hikes. Softball and baseball fields, tennis
courts, basketball, horseshoe pits, bowling and golf are all located
conveniently in the area along with locally owned businesses. Get your
ATV's and offroad vehicles ready as Redbird State Recreation Area is
just a few miles from Jasonville.
