Piankeshaw Trails Educational Park ::
Piankeshaw Trails
mission is to document, educate, demonstrate and preserve primarily
the cultural arts and history of the region and especially
that of the local Native Woodland Indians. This is accomplished
through hands on interactive creative programs, exhibits, Native
American skill demonstrations, permanent on site displays and
innovative public events.
The park’s continuing mission
is to combine skills and artistry of professionals with community
involvement to benefit the underserved youth and economically
disadvantaged rural citizens of the region while enhancing
the image of southwest central Indiana as a great place to
live, work and involve itself in its rich cultural heritage.
PTEP is also concerned with environmental stewardship and
envrionmental preservation.
The park has been designed to enhance traditional
classroom curriculum and explore our history and environment.
