Trees: Along
your journey through the forests of the Jasonville area you

and berries are abundant in the wooded and prairielands of
the Jasonville community. Along the way, you may see orange
daylillies lining the backroads. The sweet smell of honeysuckle
may touch your senses. Daisies may catch your eye for a pretty

Reptiles and Amphibians: Watch
out for those slimy snakes that may be lurking in the woods.
Poisonous snakes such as Rattlesnakes and Copperheads have
been seen in the forests in the Jasonville area. You may
also come across Racers and Rat Snakes. You may hear the
loud croaks of the bullfrogs at night. While walking along
the shores of the lakes at Shakamak you may view a turtle

Bugs,
Butterflies, Insects: Bring
your bug spray. Mosquitos, ticks, flies, and gnats, among
other pests, are abundant in the area. One may also catch
a glimpse of a beautiful butterfly sitting on a flower,
or bees swarming the fields. At night, the skies light
up with the glows of the fireflies flying about. Visit
