Although Jasonville is a rather small town with the population being approximately 2,400 people, there are options available at Shakamak State Park in which to stay the night.
Shakamak State Park offers campsites or cabins to rent. Cabins are available with bedrooms, living areas, kitchens, and modern bathroom facilities.The family cabins are equipped with an electric range, refrigerator beds and wood burning stoves. There are 29 cabins, 6 sleep 4 people, and 23 sleep 6. There are some cabins that are available year-round. For those in need of much larger accomodations for a group, club, or organization, a large group camp with dorms, showerhouse, kitchen and dining facilities is available for groups under adult supervision.
Family Cabins: For a moderate fee, cabins may be rented April through October. Cabins rent by the week only from Saturday to Saturday during June, July and August. They can be rented by the night with a minimum of two nights on the weekend during the rest of the year. Some of the cabins are available year-round. Cabins may not be rented to anyone under the age of 21 except when accompanied by a responsible adult.
Campground: The campground is equipped with flush toilets, hot water and showers, plus handicapped accommodations. Occupancy is limited to two weeks. Some sites will accommodate both tents and trailers. Electricity is available at campsites and water is accessible at different locations throughout the
campground.Group Camp: The group camp is designed for organized groups under adult supervision. The group
camp will accommodate 270 persons and is equipped with a kitchen, dining hall and modern
