July 2nd
10 a.m. Wild Flower Walk- Meet
in front of the Nature Center for a stroll for nature’s most delicate beauties.
1
p.m. Hoosier Quest Patch and Pin Program Hour- It’s our
new program for kids and families. Stop by the Nature Center ad learn how
you can work towards a patch or pin. We meet one hour a day to get you
started or help you as you are working along.
2 p.m. Camper
Scrapbook- Come to the Nature Center for an opportunity to
make a unique scrapbook.
8 p.m. Row, Row, Row, Your Boat- Join
us at the boat dock near the causeway between Lake Shakamak and Lake Kickapoo
for an evening on the water. It is a first come first serve for boats and
life jackets.
Friday, July 3rd
10
a.m. Flower/Leaf Pressing- Meet in front of the Nature
Center to create lasting prints with some of parts of delightful vegetation.

p.m. Hoosier Quest Patch and Pin Program Hour- It’s our
new program for kids and families. Stop by the Nature Center ad learn how
you can work towards a patch or pin. We meet one hour a day to get you
started or help you as you are working along.
2 p.m. Walking
Stick Workshop- Join us for an opportunity to carve your very
own walking stick. Bring a pocket knife if you have one. Great for kids
8 years and up, and also parents required.
9 p.m. Sensing
the Night Hike- Enjoy the night by using all your senses while
learning about the special adaptations nocturnal animals have on this moderate
hike. Roughly one-hour in length. NO FLASHLIGHTS

July 4th
8 a.m. Hike With the Naturalist- Meet
at the Saddle Barn to take a nature hike on trail three. Make sure to wear
shoes.
1 p.m. Hoosier Quest Patch and Pin Program Hour- It’s
our new program for kids and families. Stop by the Nature Center ad learn
how you can work towards a patch or pin. We meet one hour a day to get
you started or help you as you are working along.
3 p.m. Campground
Roving- The Shakamak State Park naturalist will be roving the
campgrounds talking to campers about the park.
Sunday,
July 5th
8:30 a.m. Bible Beach Study- Meet
on the pool deck for a non-denominational worship service.

a.m. Birding 101- Join us at the Nature Center for a short
hike and to identify common birds at Shakamak Park.
1 p.m. Hoosier
Quest Patch and Pin Program Hour- It’s our new program for
kids and families. Stop by the Nature Center ad learn how you can work
towards a patch or pin. We meet one hour a day to get you started or help
you as you are working along.
3 p.m. Fishing Basics- Meet
us at the Nature Center to learn to tie knots, re-line fishing poles, and
different fishing techniques for certain species of fish.
