Many of you may remember a resident by the name of Ron Richards. Ron was a 1977 graduate from Shakamak High School and has since moved to Missouri in 1993.
Mr. Richards has been very busy compiling a cd of his own original arrangements along with some arrangements from songs from the 1970's and 1950's. These are instrumental fingerstyle guitar tunes. One of which he has called The Embury Road where he grew up in Jasonville. Ron says, "I had a lot of great memories growing up there and just wanted to share the tune." His inspiration for the cd was his family.Mr Richards states, "I put the family photo on the back of the cd because they were my inspiration of all my Original Music on the cd. Although there isn't any singing with this, each song that I wrote has special meaning to me. There are also some tunes from the 50's and 70's on it. This an acoustic guitar solo album. I learned to play fingerstyle guitar by Derell Blake who still currently lives in Dugger, In. I met up with Derrell again a couple of years ago and we had a great reunion."
